Spinning Monkey

Posted by Amy Hurley-Purdie on

When I saw this monkey I instantly thought this cute little guy needs to be spinning round and round!

I love the little critters from the new Jungle Fever and I thought why not make a spinning monkey card, right? Everyone needs more spinning monkey cards!

I used a white cardstock base and I took Twisted Citron Distress Ink to blend onto the front. Then I used the Jungle Leaves Stencil and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink to create my leaf pattern. I cut a smaller piece of white cardstock and repeated the stencil pattern and lined them up so they matched.

I cut a large and medium circle with my cutting dies to create my spinning track, and I foam taped the center circle and outer frame as shown above to the front of my card. You want to place your foam tape in such a way that you leave room for a dime to fit inside the track and freely move around. Next, I stamped my cute monkey and colored him with my Copic markers.
Monkey: E00, E11, E35, E37, E39, R20

I added a sentiment from Jungle Fever stamp set and threw on a few sequins for a hint of sparkle.

He's so cute! I love how he spins and rolls around on the card. I posted a video of him spinning in our FB group page so be sure to go check it out there!

Be sure to check back on Friday when we will have a super special video showing you how to use your stamp set to create an entire party!

If you create a spinning card of your own we want to see! Be sure to tag us on all social media!
