Holiday Wishes

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow American friends. Alison here. It's the unofficial start of the holiday season, so why not share a holiday card? I used one of the sweet mice from Sassy & Crafty's Merry Mouse-mas stamp set along with their Chevron stencil.

I began as I usually do, by coloring the stamped image. I opted to go with Copics this time with various cool tones. After I fussy cut her, I decided to give her a strong, graphic background, and there's no better stencil for that than the Chevron stencil.

I chose to ink blend Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxides on to my cardstock. Those three colors are so pretty together, and of course they blend beautifully. For some added sparkle (because of course, holiday cards need some sparkle), I added some sequins from the Opal Sparkle Blend from Doodles Paper Playground. They were adhered with On Point Glue. And lastly, I added one of the sentiments from the Merry Mouse-mas stamp set with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide.

I love these soft colors together. That Chevron is definitely a favorite stencil of mine. And this card could easily be used for other occasions simply by changing the sentiment and perhaps cutting off her candy cane. I hope that you have a wonderful (and safe!) day. Be sure to shop Sassy & Crafty's incredible Black Friday sale... you do NOT want to miss it! Thank you so much for stopping by. Have an inspiring day!
