Happy May 5th!

I thought today might be a fun day to share with you a different way to use your stamps. Especially our cute Taco stamp! Since we have been staying home together we have become so much closer to our neighbors, and because of that, I like to make little treats when I can to say thanks for all your help.

Today I made my yummy homemade taco seasoning as a small thank you.
I used a mini mason jar, and I create this cute little treat box I cut out with my cutting machine to hold the spices.

I used one of the leaves from Jungle Fever stamp set to decorate the box. I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to stamp on my Kraft paper.  I really love the tone on tone look of the paper.

Of course, I used our cute taco to decorate the top! I loved the card I made with him so much that I replicated it for the top of the box to match!

To color the Taco I used Copic colors:

Shell - Y21, E33, YR24, Y28, PC1028
Tomato - R02, R22, R35, R46
Lettuce - YG03, G17, G05
Cheese - YR21, Y38, YR15, PC1033

The perfect little gift with a matching card!
If you are interested here is my yummy taco seasoning recipe:

2 TBSP Chili Powder
5 tsp Paprika
4 tsp Cumin
3 tsp Onion Powder
2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1/4 tsp ground Oregano
1 1/2 tsp cornstarch

Mix it all together and to use add 2- 4 TBSP(depending on how spicy you like it) and 3 tablespoons of water to skillet once meat(1 pound) is cooked. Cook until excess moisture is gone and enjoy.

As a bonus I thought I would show you my burrito card I made. I had a little scrap of watercolor paper so I sprayed it with water and ran a brush over it with yellow and orange watercolors. All I needed to do after that was color, cut out my heart and add some bling! It was fast and simple and the burrito looks so cute with him beans sticking out LOL.

I hope the rest of your day is spicy good and filled with celebration!
