Friendly Pugs Flying By!

I hope your week is flying, but don't let this latest sneak peek pass you by!  Check out the new Plushies - Friendly Pugs stamp set!! You're going to want stamp set to take the red eye to your mailbox!!
I really wanted to give this card a 3D effect, so I made some layers!  First, I stamped the whole image on the base card piece.  I then used a stitched rectangle die to cut it out.
Next, I colored in the pug in the back ground and the edges of the rest of the image.  This way when I layer it, you don't see white pace under it.
Next, I stamped a the same image on some masking paper and covered the image so that I could color the back ground with Distress Oxide.
I then stamped the same image three more times.  For one of the three, I cut only the dog in the back.  For a second one, I cut out both dogs.  And the third, I cut out just the propeller.  I colored each layer.
Before adding all the layers, I used Copic BG72 to outline the base image and all the edges of the cut out images.  This allows the images to blend into the background a little better because you don't see the white core of the paper.
Now that the base is good, I added the largest cut out using thin foam adhesive. Using the same adhesive, I added the other two layers with the smallest (propeller) on top.
The thin foam adhesive allows for dimension without too much bulk.  Now to add all the little details. I layered this on a red & orange plaid paper I had in my scrap pile, stamped a sentiment on white paper and used a banner die to cut it out and die cut some stitched clouds to match the border.  Added all this to a white card base and we are ready for landing... or maybe just an envelope!
Here's another angel so you can see the dimension.
Fun right?  I hope you enjoyed this fun technique.  And if you really want to take this card up a notch, you can cut out just the propellers and have them spin using a brad!  I absolutely love the versatility of these stamps and I'm sure you'll want to get your hands on this one and so many others.
Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you find some inspiration.  Make sure to subscribe so you see all the sneak peeks of next month's release and so much more.
Until next time... have a Sassy & Crafty Day!
