Color Me Monday #4

It's Monday and time for a brand new color scheme! This time I felt drawn to blue. I wanted to do something a little different so I chose a triad color scheme.

A triad color scheme consists of three chosen colors that are equally spaced on the 12-point color wheel. Trying a different arrangement of colors can lead you to some really interesting and inspiring ways to use color. Using this triad method of choosing colors led me to this week's color palette.
I love the contrast of the orange and blues together and of course, the POP of green is perfect! I used the cute little hip tiger from the Little Punks stamp set, and I created the background using Comic Book Stencil and Distress Oxide inks in Faded Jeans / Blueprint Sketch / Twisted Citron. As I was creating my swirling background I laid down the blue Oxide Inks first. I then used a white pigment ink in the swirl pattern on the Comic Book stencil. Once it dried I added 2 layers of Twisted Citron Oxide Ink to the swirl.
I used Copic colors:
0, C01, YG17, G07, G28, B23, B28, YR15, YR16, E08
I also used the colors to draw a straight line on white cardstock to create my own striped paper. I used the "Have a Happy Day!" sentiment from Spring Friends stamp set to finish it off.
I hope you have enjoyed this Color Me Monday and I can't wait to see what you create with these bold colors!

Have a Sassy & Crafty Day!
