Color Me Monday #25

Posted by Amy Purdie on

Today's CMM has me wanting to create something a little more subtle with a really special stamp set.
It's our NEW sentiment set "Storms do not Last Forever". During all the crazy stuff going on in our lives right now I thought this stamp set helps you create cards to remind each other that we are all here for each other. (I know, a little deep for Color Me Monday) I can't help it though, this set speaks to my heart and I know at least a dozen people who could use this card right now.

I wanted a more serious color palette but something still beautiful and calming, so I chose shades of blues and greys.
I created the card by adding strips of cardstock to a 4' x5 1/4" white card base in the CMM colors. I used Mermaid Tail Stencil and Distress Ink Picket fence to add a pattern over the cardstock strips.

It's a great card layout and the possibilities for stencil combinations are endless!

Next, I used Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire to the edges of my card front. Once I was done I adhered it to an A2 white card base.

I added the sentiment at the bottom with Versamark ink, white embossing powder and then heat set it. I used a dark blue pencil to create shadow lines around the letters. I especially love what the inside says.

I hope your storms do not last forever and I hope in our little piece of this crafting community you find solace from the storm.

Don't forget to join us on Wednesday for Beth's FB LIVE where she uses the sketch and the color palette to create her own card!

Have a Sassy & Crafty Day!
