Color Me Monday #22

Posted by Amy Purdie on

Soft colors, elegant stencils, and heartfelt sentiments are the feature this week for Color Me Monday. This week's Color Me Monday challenge I thought it might be nice to focus on cards that really speak to the heart and can give a friend that little lift that they might need.
Honestly, with everything we are all going through and how hard we are all trying to hustle to make these crazy times work, I wish I could make one of these cards for each person in the world and send it to them.
I used quite a few products this week!
Bamboo Stencil
Love Always sentiment stamp

I adore this color palette because it falls somewhere in between pastels and brights. The Distress Oxide inks blend together to give a soft chalky look that's really pretty.

If I want to focus on the sentiment and just create a pretty background with stencils, this is my go-to sketch. Simple, but very effective, and in the end, it's all about the words!

I used All the Distress Ink colors listed in the CMM chart to add color randomly to my background. Then I placed my Bamboo Stencil down and inked it with Versamark ink, removed it, and sprinkled on Stampendous Clear Embossing powder. I heat set it and once it was cooled I inked the entire paper with Ranger Glacier White pigment ink and wiped off the ink from the embossed bamboo.

I used Sassy Sentiments 1.0 for the front of my card, and Love Always sentiments for the inside.

Challenge yourself and see what you can create using the palette or the sketch, or both! Be sure to post it and tag us in SM.

Don't forget to join us on Wednesday for Beth's FB LIVE where she uses the sketch and the color palette to create her own card!

Have a Sassy & Crafty Day!
