Color Me Monday #17

Posted by Amy Purdie on

Happy Monday!
I hope you had a fabulous weekend! I am ready to share this week's color & sketch inspiration with you and I know you are going to love this adorable little puppy! I am using our NEW JULY RELEASE Pardon my Frenchie stamp set.

You are also getting a little sneak peek at our
This Friday on the 17th we are having a mid-month release
to bring you are sentiment stamp line. Each month we will release 3 new sets of sentiments that complement our stamps and stencils!

This weeks color theme I wanted to use periwinkle! It's one of my favorite colors and I love all the cool tones in this palette.

This week's sketch is a super simple one because I wanted to be able to encourage you to use that large background to create your own paper. You can use, stencils, stamps, paint, or ink but either way, just go for it and let your creativity go wild!

I used Tumbled Glass, and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Inks to create a soft background. Then I splattered white and black acrylic paint with a toothbrush to add more texture. Finally I used the flower stamp from Pardon my Frenchie and Hickory Smoke Distress Ink to add a floral pattern to my background paper.

I used Hickory Smoke Distress Ink to stamp my little dog and colored him in using lighter colors and blending him out using the colorless blender.
Dog: C1, C3, C5, E70, E71, RV52
Bag: G00, BG10, BG34, B00
Coffee: C1, C3, C5, E70, E71
Shadow: C1, C3, C5,

I hope you'll give the sketch a try and be sure to post it in the FB group so we can be inspired by your creations too!

Don't forget to join us on Wednesday for Beth's FB LIVE where she uses the sketch and the color palette to create her own card!

Have a Sassy & Crafty Day!
