Bearly Happy Birthday with Justin
First, as always, I colored up the sitting bear and the birthday hat from the Bearly Happy Birthday set with Copic Markers. I fussy cut both images out and set them aside.
I took (2) A2-sized panels of white cardstock. Using a stitched hillside die, I made my own stencil out of one of the panels. Using the positive side of the stencil (where the hillside is exposed underneath), I used Brushed Corduroy and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Inks to blend up the cave ground, splattering it as well with Black Soot Distress Ink.
I covered up the ground using the negative of the hillside die. Taking some scrap paper, I tore a strip off and used that as a stencil edge to blend the cave wall. Starting from the top of the panel, working my way down, I took Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink to blend a jagged rock wall panel. Next, I splattered this layer as well with Black Soot Distress Ink.
My final portion of ink blending the cave consisted of me taking a blending brush with Black Soot Distress Oxide in and blending in the edges of the card to give it some shadow and depth.
For my sentiment, I used the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from Bearly Happy Birthday, stamped it on white cardstock, cut it into a rectangle, and blended the edges with Samba Catherine Pooler Ink. I framed the sentiment in red cardstock.
Using foam tape, I adhered my bear with his birthday hat and the sentiment to my card. I also adhered some Pirates Premium Sequins for extra embellishment.
I used a tape runner to adhere my panel to an A2-sized card base, and my card was complete!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and Happy Crafting!
