A thank you to my Sanitation worker

Posted by Amy Hurley-Purdie on

With all the recent craziness going on in the world I thought it might be a great idea to take time out and thank the people in my life who make a difference. One such person that I think gets overlooked would be my local sanitation worker. Of course, I am sending thank you's out to others as well like my postal carrier, food & shopping delivery people, truck drivers, grocery clerks, and of course healthcare workers. During this quarantine time, I feel like the people who are really holding things together really do stand out to me. So what could be better than a gift card to Starbucks to help him start the day off with a cup of Joe!
(He was really really happy to receive the card and his smile was huge!)
I thought I would use Donuts about you stamp set to create my thank you card as well as Awesome stars stencil, and the tiny star stamp from Rad Party.
I layered the background with stars using Awesome Star stencil and white pigment ink.  Then I stamped the Rad Party tiny star stamp and embossed with white embossing powder. I used Donuts about You cut file to cut out my coffee cup shape, and I stamped my coffee cup on to the white cardstock. I colored him using my Copic Markers.

For the inside of the card, I stamped grateful for you from an old set I have and I included a $10.00 gift card to Starbucks. If you are saying to yourself "Hey, I can't afford to just buy a gift card for everyone." I get it! That's why I want to share a secret with you. I use Bing as a search engine to locate everything I want on the internet, and every time I do I get points. After a certain number, I can cash out my points for things like a free gift card, a coupon, or a donation to charity. It's a way I can give someone something special without breaking the bank. You can learn more about it HERE.

I hope as always my creativity has inspired you to be creative or at least my post has been a distraction from your daily responsibilities.

Have a Sassy & Crafty Day!
