It's been months since things were normal. Who knows when we'll see what the new normal will be. Know that you're not alone. Many friends are still struggling through these changes in our world, our country, our communities and our homes. I think, as crafters, there is a great opportunity for us to bring a little light into the worlds of others through creativity. This card is made for that friend who just needs a paper hug.
This card combines three awesome new Sassy & Crafty products: Sweet as Honey Bee stamps, (the soon to be released on 7/17/20) Be Kind stamps and the Honeycomb stencil.
First, I used two different colors of yellow ink on my glass mat and sprayed it with water. I then took a 4" x 5.25" piece of watercolor paper and smushed it into the color puddle. I then took my heat gun to dry it quickly and repeated the technique until the full piece was covered.
Next, I stamped the sentiments from the "Be Kind" stamp set in Vintage Sepia VersaFine and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then used black ink to stamp the bees. The larger bee I stamped on another piece of white paper, colored it and fussy cut it out. I added the fussy cut be by adhering the middle only and popping up the wings. Last, using the honeycomb stencil and brown ink, I added some layers to the corners of the card front.
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out this fun technique to add ink to your background. Stay tuned for more sneak peeks at the new releases coming on Friday, July 17th!
Until next time, have a Sassy & Crafty Day!
